Kildonnan is a delightful stone built Victorian house in the centre of the village of Borgue, about five miles from Kirkcudbright. The house has been extensively upgraded, but has lost none of its original features or charm.

Jeannie and Mike offer two en-suite double bedrooms. All the rooms have full central heating. The bedrooms have extensive views towards the Galloway hills and the Dee estuary, and the house itself is less than five minutes drive from three of our local beaches.

We have been pleased in the past to arrange fully pre-planned and pre-booked golfing holidays for our guests and we have negotiated discounts for visitors who wish to take advantage of this facility.

Guests' LoungeCountry riding pursuits are a noted feature of South West Scotland, and we will be pleased to arrange horse riding sessions with local stables

Our bedrooms are each unique in their style, having been remodelled by Jeannie, whose hobby is collecting and displaying antiques.

Each bedroom has tea and coffee making facilities and a welcoming gift for our visitors.

Dining tableThe lounge / dining room is solely for the use of our guests and has an open fire which is used during the colder months. There is no finer feeling than to sit in front of a roaring fire with a warming drink when the nights are drawing in.

We offer Bed & Breakfast, with a breakfast menu ranging from the full traditional to kedgeree or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and champagne. Or if the fancy takes you, a continental style menu with cold meats and cheese.

Jeannie is a fully qualified chef, and we are pleased to say that we offer acclaimed evening meals. Many of our regular guests compliment us on the quality, variety and originality of our menus, which can be tailored to individual choice and which use a full range of local produce. Kirkcudbright is a fishing port and, of course, seafood is a feature of Jeannie's cuisine, as are local beef and lamb.
